This school was founded in the year 1970 and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. 7. P.S Senior secondary school
P.S Senior Secondary School was initially started to help the public and also for the children of the employees of the central government. It was one among the top five institutions in Chennai in the year 2011. It said that students graduating from this school mostly get admitted to the top institutions like IIT’s, National University of Singapore, NIT, Anna University, etc.
8. Bala Vidya Mandir
This school is known for its balanced approach to education. Like few other schools of Chennai, this school also follows a blend of both traditional and modern method of educating students. 9. Sankara Senior Secondary school
Sankara Senior Secondary school was founded in the year 1970 under the guidance of Sri Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham. This was started in the year 1979 by E.A.G Moses of the State Bank of India Officer’s educational trust. It was started in the year 1979 to coincide with the International Year of the child which would benefit the Bank Officer’s children. 13. Jawahar group of Institutions
This school was started in the year 1966 in memory of the late revered Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The main aim of education here is to let the children realize their full potential through various activities and discover themselves to become good citizens of the country.

This was founded by H.H Swami Chinmayanandaji. They have three branches loctated at Virugambakkam, Anna Nagar and Kilpauk. The curriculum is designed keeping in mind the holistic way of education with culture, patriotism and focus on universal outlook.
15. St. John’s group of Schools
