De Monte Colony
De Monte Colony has a row of individual houses that is haunted. There are cases of pets and watchman missing. Located near St.Mary’s Road, Demonte Colony in Chennai is one of the most feared areas of this old city.
The broken bridge is located in Besant Nagar. You might have spot this place in a lot of movies. But during the night this place is considered unsafe due to the paranormal activity that occurs here!
Besant Avenue Road
A small stretch in Besant Nagar is said to be haunted. As the sunsets, the creepiness of this road rises. If you get a chance to drive through this road in the evening, you can notice candles being lit to shoo away the evil spirit.
Two Lane East Coast Road
This one stretch on the famous ECR is spooky. It is said that a girl had died in a road accident at this very spot and since then, it has been haunted. It is reported that several drivers along this route have sworn to have seen a sudden appearance of the girl’s figure while they were driving down this road at night.
Madras Christian College
Years ago, a college student who was one-sided lover committed suicide after being heart broken. The Herber’s Hall where he committed suicide has been shut after strange incidents of windows breaking.
Karikattu Kuppam is on the East Coast Road. The place is said to be haunted by an old man and two children who died during the 2004 Tsunami. The shadow of a ghost is seen walking around, the ghost children wail from deserted lands, apparitions are seen everywhere.
Valmiki Nagar has a haunted house which is vacant since the last 10 years. Apartment number F-2 on 3, Seward Road is said to be possessed by the spirit of the house owner’s daughter who died years ago. Sobs of the girl along with slamming of doors have reported to be heard throughout the day. 2 people tried to investigate the mystery behind this place, but it’s said that they got possessed by the spirit of the girl.
Blue Cross Road
There have been a lot of stories of suicide on this lane. The lane has such thick trees that it cuts off day light, now imagine this road at night with all those unhappy dead spirits walking around.
